tiggmtl (4155), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada Dec 8, 2005 Fairly malty aroma has plenty of raisin-like fruity esters. Clear, deep, burnished copper coloured body is topped by a decent and lasting tan head. Raisin-like fruitiness and light, roasty bitterness blend well together but are not altogether exciting. Somewhat thin body is on the watery side with very strong carbonation. Sampled on tap at the Sandlot at Coors Field. Rastacouere (5201), Montréal, Quebec, Canada Oct 18, 2005 Clear orange-copper. Smooth, easy-going maltiness rides from honey to nutty, though always bready and bubble gummy. Candied oak influences bring on little fruity suggestions and add a light vinous kick, but it remains a bit too subtle in its flavor deployment. Light-medium bodied, soft cleansing carbonation, very sweet palate. Pleasant. JorisPPattyn (4246), Antwerpen, Belgium Oct 1, 2003 Chestnut brown; creamy - yellowish head. Nose as from fresh German brown bread, quite yeasty. Taste is predominantly sweet with good bitter, shrublike flavour. Again bread flavour and molasses. Well-bodied, warming. This is a good, tru-to-nature Bock. Not really exciting but more than halfway decent.
