On tap at Two Elk Lodge in Vail: Dark amber hue with a surprisingly large and lasting head (frothy and light beige). Mouthfeel was creamy, smooth and medium-bodied; mild carbonation; fairly easy to drink, but not really watery. Malts were definitely favored, with big notes of toffee and lesser notes of caramel. Mild bitterness, enough to keep it somewhat balanced. More character than a Fat Tire, as a comparison. Surprisingly, not too shabby.
