Oakes (6853), Miami Beach, Florida, USA Oct 10, 2005 Bright golden colour. Slightly crisp hop note but mainly fresh bready malts. Full malt character with a light fruitiness that thankfully doesn’t detract too much from the expressive malts. Rastacouere (5270), Montréal, Quebec, Canada Oct 18, 2005 Diminishing white head tops a clear golden liquid. Weird nose that offers fruity esters as much as rounded malt flavors. Banana, basil and peppery hops all take the train together, evolving on a rather tart, fruity railway. Light bodied, small bubbled carbonation. Not the most accurate helles, but a pleasant drink. JorisPPattyn (4282), Antwerpen, Belgium Oct 1, 2003 (draught from lagertank) Very pale yellow, huge white head. Slightly smoked nose, slightly citrussy. Slight corn taste. There is just a tad of hops retronasal. Light bodied, but the corn (?) seems to fill it up a bit. Good light beer, but tasted at very low temp. tiggmtl (4181), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada Dec 8, 2005 Mild, sweet, herbal hop forward aroma. Golden body is topped by a low white head that recedes to ring. Oddly strong fruitiness in the flavour with some cereal malt character and herbal, grassy hops leading to fair finishing bitterness. Light body with strong carbonation. Sampled on tap at the Sandlot at Coors Field. jcwattsrugger (3942), Florida and, New Jersey, USA Nov 10, 2006 slightly different name @GABF-on tap pours a white head with gold color. Taste is medium/light malt, slight flat hop. OK/mild carbonation.
