Crosling (1660), Loveland, Colorado, USA May 17, 2007 Draught @ Coors Field Sandlot tonight. Served way to cold. Nearly black color. Roasty and coffee-like nose. Flavor is fairly average for a brewpub stout, roasty, fairly light with mild hints of coffee. This is a fairly typical rendition, enjoyable, but far from being anything special. You would expect a better stout from the 2005 Small Brewpub of the year. Retorp (2155), Tampa, Florida, USA Oct 2, 2006 Tap. Roast chocolate aroma is deep and malt accented. Flat black with a damn firm and lasting creamy light tan head. Creamy chocolate accented fore. Very mild roast notes. smooth and creamy and fairly thick of body, but little flavor range and intensity. Still a very pleasing beer. MIBRomeo (1889), Wisconsin, USA Oct 2, 2006 served on a nitro tap it pours to a brown color w/ a thick brown head and some nice lacing. Fairly std dry stout aroma some light chocolates a bit of coffee some earthy notes. Pal was pretty avg. Flavor was a bit bland, some light chocolates and coffes a dry coccoa powder finish. Ok. harlequinn (2746), Tacoma, Washington, USA Jul 19, 2006 Dark brownish black with some ruby highlights. Rich chocolate fudge aroma, some light toffee and rich roasted coffee. A tad bit on the lighter side, but still packed with flavor. SpudClampDawg (949), Jasper, Indiana, USA Jun 4, 2006 Nitro tap @ Coors Field. Another solid offering from the Sandlot boys. Pours a deep brown with a tightly compacted, nitro head. Great aroma of dark chocolate, ground espresso and fudge. The body is actually fuller than I expected, delivering more roasty malt flavors and lasting through a long finish. Lots of nutty and toffee sweetness as well. Good!
