Faint floral hop aroma together with some caramel and hops. Malty taste with a little sweetness and quite a bit of caramel, together with faint hop notes and a little metal. Aftertaste is mostly a lingering hop/metal flavour in the mouth. Well. Not much of anything here. Certainly doesn’t remind me of Christmas in any way. Definitely prefer the normal Clausthaler over this. Gr0ve (1416), Oslo, Norway
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Dec 17, 2005 330 ml bottle. Light brown. High carbonation. White persistent head. Saaz har clearly been used in this beer as it can be smelled next to the otherwise distinctly grainy aroma. Light bodied. A little more sweetness would have made it better. Some bitterness in the aftertaste. Good alternative for the designated driver. Ungstrup (15382), Frederiksberg, Denmark
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Jul 23, 2007 Bottled. An amber beer with a thin off-white head. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of caramel, and so is the flavor, while the body is a bit thin. Enjoyit (1746), Vadum, Denmark

| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Jan 8, 2006 It is quite all right for a "beer" without alcohol. Malty sweeness as appropriate for a Christmas beer, and some hops in the aftertaste. A little grainy taste, too, not unpleasant.
If you need a beer without alcohol, you could do far worse than this. OleR (2106), Oslo, Norway
| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Nov 6, 2006 Bottle. Golden brown body, nice lasting white head. Weak, but fresh and floral hoppy aroma. Taste is grainy, moderatly sweet and slight bitter. Watery (of course), but yet a decent N/A. Beer2000 (1841), Kristiansand, Norway
