DYCSoccer17 (2013), Davis, California, USA Jun 3, 2008 22 ounce bomber purchased at BevMo in Vacaville, CA. Aroma has some initial citrus grapefruity, lightly piney hop aromas. Cascade-ish. A bit metallic, too. Kinda floral. Transparent golden body with a slightly orange twinge. Frothy white-ish head and fair lacing. Metallic, piney, herbal hop flavors are present throughout. Pretty bitter, but not too over the top. Lacks some malt balance. Some citrus hop flavors are present in the middle. Pretty long, dry, bitter finish. Straight forward, pretty unbalanced, and not overly imaginative. Fair enough.
SoCaliente (3), Thousand Oaks, California, USA does not count Sep 6, 2008 A hazy golden color with a white foam top grabs your eyes and invites you to take in the earthy hay grass aroma into your nose.
The slight bitter flavor fills in the medium body. Yet, the bit too lively fizz leaves you with a tickle bright ending.

marcus (990), Sacramento, California, USA Aug 27, 2008 This hazy golden ale poured with a decent off-white head and a floral aroma. The flavor is creamy caramel malt with some serious hopping. However, the balance is off, resulting in too much bitterness and not enough body. bhensonb (2887), Woodland, California, USA Aug 24, 2008 Bomber from BevMo. Pours hazy gold with a frothy white head. Aromas of floral hop over pale malt sweetness. Near medium body with finely creamy carbonation. It’s hoppy - think I got a fresh one. It’s bitter. It’s floral and a bit citrus. Finish is clean and hoppy. And bitter. Maybe BevMo should keep them in the cooler. riversideAK (1583), Shoreline, Washington, USA Aug 24, 2008 Aroma is somewhat oxidized stale earthy hops. Some odd sweetness as well. Poured a nice shade of gold with a great big head. Tastes plasticy sweet initially followed by some odd yeasty esters. Earthy leafy hops are there in the finish, but are just off. Carbonation is pretty big. The bottle I had was really just plain unpleasant. Nik925 (136), California, USA Aug 21, 2008 Its a fizzy little bastard. Sharp carbonation and lots of it, like they add CO2 and bottle condition it. Far end of the bitter spectrum, so much so that there is little hop taste, or even malt taste for that mater. Their description of super hoppy is inaccurate, its high in IBUs but low in hoppyness. Not a good aroma, smells like fermenter sanitizer. Pretty dry, simple, bitter. If they added some hops for aroma, dry hopped it and made a more flavorful malt it would be excellent. Wait, that would be a different beer, oh well.
