Sample was sent from San Diego to El Salvador where we tasted it with ramenen. This first a an IPA sample series; light and soft, some off flavors not expected in an IPA, lacks punch. | 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Mar 29, 2009 Pours copper with a thin white head. Smells of citrus, wheat germ, earthy. Tastes astringently bitter and soapy with a thin watery mouthfeel. asedzie (456), San Francisco, California, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Mar 24, 2009 Bottle. Aroma is vegetable/herbal rough, raw hop aromas. Very strong oily hop flavors, along with some light citrus-like fruitiness, finish has lingering bitterness - again, very raw tasting, as if these hop cultivars are very hardy but not delicate varieties. I did enjoy this beer, a nice local homemade brew. chandler0201 (341), Durham, North Carolina, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Mar 11, 2009 Orange pour with minimal head. Smells of an IPA with bitter citrus flavors. Kind of metallic not a great aftertaste. Mediocre for an IPA. RedSox2004 (356), Pacific Palisades, California, USA
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Feb 22, 2009 Hazy orange with a one-finger head, little retentionand nice lacing. Subtle hop aroma (for an IPA) with some woodiness and peaches. Bitter citrus up front on the tongue, with a bit of metallic sourness. Rather unpleasant sour aftertaste. This does not hit the mark in any way. marcus (1869), Sacramento, California, USA
| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Feb 20, 2009 This amber ale poured with a decent off-white head and a citrus aroma. Organic hops should taste basically the same as non-organic hops, so their inclusion is no excuse for this less than mediocre brew. There is quite a bit of flavor. Unfortunately, it’s not good flavor and it stays on the palate for a while. Taverner (853), San Ramon, California, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 2/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Jan 14, 2009 Perhaps its infected, but this actually came out tasing like Orval (seriously! But I do love Orval) Taste of Brett funkiness, and fresh bittering hops. I hate to give this a high rating - since this is a mistake on the brewers part. But I am enjoying the brewers mistake. Pours gold with white head. Smell, horseblanket. Almost no carbonation. hoppopotamus (185), Santa Cruz, California, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jan 7, 2009 A slightly hazy orange/amber beer with a small off-white head that dissipates fast. The aroma is like if you added a little bit of fruity hop aroma to a boring american macro-brew. The flavor is oddly simiilar, a bit of hop bitterness on like, PBR. This is shitty beer, no matter how organic the hops are.
