Bottle: Black as night, large spritzy light brown head, deflates rather quickly, mediocre lacing.   Combination sour nose, roasted malts, lactose sugar, and oatmeal.   Quite sour on the tongue.   Underlying roasted malts pale in comparison to the sourness.   Semi-sweet, slightly dry, perhaps even a bit chalky.   Moderate to full body and mouthfeel.   Unsweetened bittersweet chocolate like finish, remains rough otherwise   Some notes of Apple skin and ashtray.   Certainly not bad, but the dry unsweetened aspect and angry finish got to me.   Fairly average for a Stout, but at 5.4% it sure feels quite big.

22oz bottle acquired in trade with Saarlander (thanks!). Bottle stamped 102506 (I’m assuming bottled on date?). Poured a dark black color with a larger sized brown head. Aromas of roast, dark chocolate, coffee, and vanilla. Nice aroma. Tastes of roast, chocolate, coffee, and a little earthy. Starts out medium sweet and ends in a light bitterness. I was somewhat surprised by this especially with the word ’organic’ in the name.

22oz bottle via trade with tever - Thanks Tom! - Pours black with a fair tan creamy head that leaves a good amount of lace and stays well. Aromas of slight coffee and roast. Flavor is coffee, and roast in the fore but also a somewhat sour finish that made this one not so overall tasty to me. Coffee throughout but the slight acidity turned me off really. Soft palate with fair carbonation.. Overall a disappointment to me..

Courtesy of Pailhead. Pitch black, beige head, decent lacing. Light coffee up front, faint hop bitterness and alcohol in the background. Coffee, through and through in the flavor. Thins out in finish. 1 dimensional.

Bomber. Pours black with a diminishing thumb thick head that is a dark mocha and nice looking, but bubbly. The aroma is roast/brunt malt, chocolate, coffee and some mild dusty notes. <P> Fore is light and tart with some watery acidic coffee and a bit of gamy umami int he finish. It really doesn’t taste very good and some strong cola elelments don’t help it earn any flavor points. The brown ale this company does is much better.

Bottle: Courtesy of DarkElf via trade. The aroma consists of chocolate, fruit, roasted malt, and a touch of coffee and vanilla. It pours a dark brown with no transparency and a moderate beige head that lasts a minute or so and leaves great lacing. The flavor starts with hints of dark chocolate and finishes with moderate roasted malt, coffee, and a hint of acidity.

Be extra careful with this stout because the head is a such a huge amount of foaming youll have to wait like 5 minutes for the head to simmer down in order for a sip to be taken. This is a very sour and tart stout. The flavor has some element of butter, burnt malt, soap, salt, tofu? To stong is flavor that is not to my taste. Color is light brown and has a light aroma dark roasty malt and some more soap.

Pours a deep dark brown almost black with a clear amber tinge to it- thin lasting beige head. Aroma is molsty dry roasty, fruity esters and caramel malts. More chocolate and nutty dry malts in the flavor with a smooth and sweeter finish. Pretty decent stout overall.
