Commercial Description:
As red as an Arizona sunset, this pale ale has a Spicy/Citrus Hop character that rounds nicely with a clean barley sweetness. SanTan Pale is one of the new breed of American West Coast Pale Ales.

On Tap @ SanTan Brewing Company. http://www.santanbrewing.com/beers.html Pours a reddish brown with a small white head. Aroma of hops, malt and citrus. Flavor is Hops, malt, citrus. Body is watery and it goes down pretty easy. Decent Red Pale Ale, but wish it had a little stronger of a flavor profile.

Sampled from growler at Tucson Tasteing. Aroma was of malts more of the english variey. Good amber/red body. More english malt with some picey bitterness. Alright but not like American Pale Ale to me anyway.

Mahogany translucent appearance. Limited or faint scent of pastry flavor. Palate is above average. Overall a nice tasting beer.

reddish brown color with a light beige head which remains as a film. refreshing floral aroma of caramel , orange, light grass and pine-like resin. dry floral flavor as well... notes of caramel, earthy bitterness and some soap on the finish. there’s a strange component... really ashy and astringent feeling that reminds me of chewing peanut shells and skins. it’s rather unpleasant and throws everything off for me.
