500ml glass at Ochs’n Willi restaurant in central Stuttgart. This is a truly excellent beer! It is a clear ruby red, with a firm, lasting head. There is a high degree of bitterness to start, yet this mellows to a smooth, sweet and crisp finish. The predominant flavours are apple and cinnamon. This is possibly the best beer I have had.

On draught at Vaihingen Bahnhof Restaurant, Germany. Quintessential Dunkelweizen. Nice blume (head), rich color, and of course signature banana clove yeast strain. Could use a slightly higher alcohol level (5.4, say?) to fit the style better. Bonus points for being served in brewer’s weizen spiraled glass with festive natives dancing and toasting to health.

On draft in Vaihingen, Germany at some restaurant. Poured a cloudy light brown with a full fluffy off white head. Moderate yeast aroma with banana and clove. Flavor is exactly as it should be- full of yeast, banana, and spice. Lightly sweet. Medium body. Vey drinkable and very nice.

Another one of my "hometown beers" Grew up in that area and had lots of these. Like this one more than their Hefeweizen. Sweet malty taste! Enjoy!

Yoghurt and banana in the aroma. Yoghurt flavor, somewhat yeasty. Cherry and mandarin esters. Pleasant weizen.
