Aroma of hops, malts and coffee. Flavour was fairly balance, a little more carbonated than I was expecting. Easy drinking with a somewhat bitter ending. Not bad, but not exactly exciting either. Impossible to find; I’ve heard stories that the brewery has it. Alas, it is almost worth teh cost of the flight to Japan. kp (8399), Woodstock, Georgia, USA

dark clear ruby red, rich malt and floral hop aroma, rich malt flavor with a bitter finish, much more a bock than a stout

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | May 16, 2007 Bottle: My favorite beer to drink at my favorite Sushi restaurant. Smells thick and hearty as is the taste. Dark appetizing color especially with a plate of Chirashi. Goes down smooth and is hard to say "no" to the waitress when she asks if I want more. I had this on another occasion, but is pretty expensive to buy a case where I live: about $50 bucks for a small case. I’m pretty new to describing beer, so I can’t really say much about the flavor other than it is really good and thick. Not just a chugging beer it is a good one to let linger in your mouth.
