Can. Yellow colour, little head, weak aroma of malt and hops. Flavour of malt and hops bit grainish and waterish. Thin aftertaste.

Funny thing about Japan--their cheap beer tastes like cheap beer.

Wait... That’s not really funny.

This stuff is actually pretty decent. It seems more similar to American macros than most Japanese macros which are somewhat more Pilsener-like and bitter.

Sweet hop malr aroma. Clear amber colour with poor head and lacing. Sweet malt flavour with hops. Flat palate.

can (and out of the can) The best thing about this beer is the memories that it brings back. It reminds me of subway rides with the bro in Tokyo. I think its amazing that in Japan, there are no open container laws, yet we were the only people drinking in public. My favorite part is when I was drinking it among children on a playground in Shibuya. Not much to say about the beer.....it tastes exactly how you think it would.

Can. Japan has a high per-capita suicide rate, I’m told. A popular way to do this is by jumping in front of subway cars, which causes big delays while they clean up and this is sometimes given as a reason for being late. But how can one kill themselves in a land where this fine specimen of beer is available in freaking corner stores and vending machines? Writing that was the second most evil thing I’ve done this week. Looks like champagne with a small head. Somewhat inoffensive compared with American macros. Slight taffylike sweetness in flavor. FInishes quickly.

Not the best beer I sampled in Japan, but not too bad either. A reasonably pale colour and a lack of taste leave it without an imposing presence. Still it is a clean crisp taste and quite easy to drink so it isn’t too bad.

HAPPOSHU!! Japanese alcoholic water. This is not a beer, but rather a japanese carbonated alcoholic beverage brewed to get around beer tax. Notice that the can avoids the word beer!! Skunk aroma, watery taste. Apart from that it is OK if you want to get pissed!

A clear gold with a fizzy, short-lived, white head. A mild sweet floral aroma. Tangy and crisp with citrus and cigar tobacco flavors. Clean finish. An easy drinking brew and a notch above the typical Japanese macro.
