Multiple tastings. Catching up on some of the beers I drank in the past - this is one of those crappy beers that I try to avoid these days. This one I remember getting primarily for the can collection.

650 mL Can with a shape like a Coca-Cola bottle with the top part cut off. This one is labeled "Premium Beer" so I assume this is the right place. Pale straw yellow with a thin but foamy white head that quickly settles to a scanty ring but leaving good lace. Aroma is predominantly bread dough with a note of rice adjunct, and the hops coming through as pleasantly pungent, not skunky. The flavor is a light-bodied beer with a dry but mildly bitter taste and a very clean finish. A delightful surprise from the Far East, my curiosity for Japanese beers has been piqued.

(Bottle, 4.7 % version, on 2009-03-07) Golden and clear. Medium sized white head. Grassy and sweet aroma. Light, dry and stinging palate with lot of carbonation. Grass, hint of malts, bitterness, sweetness and bit of white bread in taste. Malts and light bitterness in aftertaste.

Bottle brown, 330 ml
Appearance: Pours quite nice golden, regular body with small sediments floating in the body texture, carbonation of the body is medium, head is initially medium quickly decreasing, leaving huge and quite impressive lacing, white or snowy white in colour and foamy to frothy in texture.
Aroma: Quite clean aroma of thin malted barley, some gentle ricy - corny sweetness, gentle sweet artificiality characteristic for some commercial Pale Lagers, some minerality, kind of milky oriented sweetness, some scents of herbal hops, generally not that bad and quite clean.
Flavour: Quite nicely balanced and clean flavour as for a Pale Lager, even being on the verge of Premium Lager in fact, quite nice and interesting hoppy, aromatic, herbal profile, good dryness, in terms of malt too, leavy malt here is the most important and the most dominating factor, corn or/and rice are pushed somewhere to the background and constitute not such a vital factor. Quite bitter and well balanced. Finish duration is quite moderately long.
Palate: Body is light, texture is quite dry, carbonation on palate is rather soft, finish feel is very clean, without any adjunct influence, gently astringent and gently alcoholic.
