Sapporo will always hold an important place in my heart right next to my first love, my friends who are no longer with us, and string cheese. kp (8500), Woodstock, Georgia, USA

OK malt and delicious lemony hop aroma, ok in mouth, with a pilsner style sharp lemon hop finish. I liked it. Very cool and drinkable after a cycle ride in my new ratebeer.com cycling jersey. | 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Aug 25, 2007 Bottle at Club Sushi in Fujiyama’s Steakhouse. Pours urine-yellow, no head with loose clusters of oily lacing. Nose is wheat. That’s it...wheat. My mouth received more wheat, slight white grape, and light fruits in the finish. Alcohol is hidden well. Medium carbonation/bodied. Good for the style. I could drink this all day with ease. DerWeg (778), Toronto, Ontario, Canada

I think it absorbed more flavor from the big metal can than the malt fermentation. Hops? They taste like metal too. Yet I am strangely compelled to drink this with Yakitori. Nothing Japanese is ever truly bad is it. Quietman (160), Florida, USA

| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Aug 24, 2007 Pours golden with a frothy white head. The taste is mostly a semi-sweet malt, with a hoppy bitterness at the end. A decent balance, not bad at all, but buying one over here is always a risk. fattibobatti (246), Tallahassee, Florida, USA
