Light golden with a decent head. The aroma is slightly hoppy and the flavour is thin with a few notes of hop and flower. The Finish has an OK bitterness.

Completely boring and unremarkable. Right in style with many American macro brews, with a little more flavor. Can only be described as a quencher. Decent with food.

Had as the third beer on a night of Japanese beers. None of them really stood out and this was the same. Yellow color, has a light water taste to it. Nothing to get excited about.

I have done the Japanese big 4 taste test many of nights....sapporo vs. kirin vs. asahi vs. suntory.... Everytime sapporo for me has come on top. I did enjoy the kirin brewery tour better, but it must be something with Hokkaido that brings this one to the top of my nihon no biru "big 4" list. Has a mild grainy taste that is good with tempura or udon. Sweet malt aroma. Golden with frothy white head. Sweet malt with balancing bitterness.

Bottle. Pours clear golden with a proper white head. Sweetish mild malts and grain to the nose. Malty and grainy flavors as well, with a fruity sweetness. Noteable hops in the background. Slight dry finish.

22 oz can. Pours pale straw color with a thin, fairly long lasting head. Very crisp taste with very little hop flavor. This is an easy drinking beer, with no real offensive taste. For my money, I prefer the Sapporo Reserve to this.

Bottled, despite what the name of the beer tells me. Pours the expected clear straw color, but maybe a bit more saturated than with the BMC variety. Aroma is less skunky than expected. taste is very light, and semi-sweet with corn flavors. Finishes "crisp", giving a slight acknowledgement to hops. This was okay.
