Head quickly dissapates into a slight bubbly rim around the glass. Smell is faint, slightly grass like. Tastes bitter all the way around. Not bad with my noodles and chicken. | 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Oct 13, 2006 Pours pale yellow with a small head. Aroma of grass and dreaded corn. Very light flavors, that we thought might mix nicely with sushi or other light food. In terms of flavor, nearly water.

| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Oct 11, 2006 Bottle at Sapporo (sushi bar) in A’dam. This is my favorite over Asahi. Much stronger and more flavourful. Tall head, again. Coupled with excellent sushi it was a real delight, as always, to imbibe. BeerloverEJ21 (131), Georgia, USA

I thought it was refreshing with a good aftertaste. Slightly bitter, creamy, a decent beer. Nothing spectactular, but good. Japanese beers have a certain unique characteristic that are very different than European beers, but I happen to like this beer very much. TheJester (716), Peterborough, Ontario, Canada
| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Oct 4, 2006 Hope I’m in the right place. 650 mL can. "Sapporo Premium Beer." Cool can - you could drive nails with it. Aroma of grass and dreaded corn. Gold with a bit of foamy head. Heavily carbonated. Taste is corn syrup, soda water, and a bit of hops at the end. Not great, but not bad for a pale lager. MadIndian (997), Levittown, Pennsylvania, USA

Aroma is not very pronounced and rather neutral. Pours out with a light golden hue with a rather generous head that dissipates at an average speed. Tastes great and very refreshing (had at the end of a particularly stress filled day, in all fairness). Rich, thick consistency for a lager. bigcat03 (191), Lincoln, Nebraska, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Oct 1, 2006 1 pt 6 oz bullet can from Hy-Vee Liquors St. Joe poured into english pint - Pours golden with a 2 finger, quickly diminishing head; Not much to the nose, but some malt (maybe), corn? Rice? Generally the normal pale lager aromas; Faint hops, maybe some sweet malt on the initial taste; A bready, lightly hoppy backtaste that has no bitterness; Not an offensive beer in any way. I actually kinda enjoyed it in a weird way. I’d say this is on the better half of pale lagers.
