Besides Tsingtao beer which I need to support..hehe A light golden color look. Makes me feel rich when I consume it. Fruity, honey sweet, floral, slight maltiness, some bitterness at the end. Maan this brew is complex!! Nice long ass bubble action in my crystal glass. Japanese sure knows how to make good beer!! I luv it!! Highly recommended!! A+++ to E=mc2 to infinity. argo0 (6907), Washington DC, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Jun 30, 2004 (22oz can) First off, I find it hard to believe that I’m drinking a beer from a can -- I mean, it’s a cool looking can, but it explicitly says it’s a "Malt Liquor." Big white foamy head atop a crystal clear straw body. Aroma is mild sweet, grassy, cereal. Taste is mild sweet, cereal up top, before turning mildly bitter grassy mid-tongue and into the swallow. Watery body. harlequinn (2745), Tacoma, Washington, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Jun 24, 2004 This is great, and perhaps even better than regular Sapporo. A great session beer that you can just sit there and drink all night and feel great. Pours a really light golden color, that like in other ratings looks slightly like a champagne. Lots of carbonation, fruity and sweet. Has a tasty malt character, with just a bit of hoppiness in the finish. DrGonzo (625), Somerville, Massachusetts, USA
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Jun 11, 2004 Kanbai! This bullet train can with 1" thick walls pours a clear golden yellow with a gargantuan yet quickly dissipating rocky white. Aroma contains champagne, apple, grains, cereal. Not as much carbonation in the body as I expected. Initial flavor is not too bad. Slightly watery overall, but not bad for the style. The finish is sticky sweet, corn syrupy at times, dry, adjuncts come out. Overall its drinkable, especially considering that I could not think of a better lager that comes in cans. In summation, and probably incorrect Nihongo: Sapporo (no yoyaku) no biiru wa totemo omoshiroikuarimasen. dropkickm79 (53), Oklahoma, USA

| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | May 7, 2004 Can: This is pretty good. Has more flavor than the regular Sapporo. A bit hoppy, and goes down fairly easy. PorterPounder (3138), Tallahassee, Florida, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Apr 11, 2004 Updated: Apr 11, 2005Rerate - had in the big 650 ml bottle - rare find at the local pub - not quite as good - very corny, mineral water aroma, pasty, corny mouthfeel. . Much better in the can. Original 3.1 Big 650 ml can - pleasantly surprised - does not excel in any one area - but all around very drinkable. Fluffy white head with good lacing that sticks around a while, dark yellow, slightly murky appearance - good bubble action. Fresh, slightly fruity aroma, like a muted APA. Slightly hoppy and fruity flavor with a pleasant mouthfeel. Has a bit of honey sweetness to it as well. Not as dry as most Japanese beers. Probably the best of the few Japanese beers I have had to date.
