MBison (400), Southern Highlands, Australia Sep 9, 2008 Bottle (334ml). Poured virtually black with a large, thick, frothy, tanned head which was average lasting. A strong, rich malty aroma with sticky toffee, burnt sugar, caramelized dates, currents, hints of milk chocolate and a touch of vanilla. Flavor was also rich, with toffee malts, burnt sugar, caramelized dried mixed fruits, chocolate, hints of cola with roast coffee and some licorice in the finish. Medium bodied with soft carbonation, a dry mouthfeel and a decent finish. Much better than I expected. motelpogo (4124), Plzen, Czech Republic Jul 10, 2008 500ml can. brown, appproaching black with a thin, shortlived head. aroma of caramel with a hint of condensed milk. decent instant coffee roastiness, finishes quite dry and pleasant bierkoning (4920), La Tropica, Netherlands May 26, 2008 Can, bought on Amsterdam airport for a rediculous amount of money.
