Can: A light gold colored lager with an above average hoppy nose and flavor, it’s not in the bitterness department though, mainly just the dry hop stuff. Very light malt and some below average tinny notes in the finish. A pale lager, a bit hoppier than most.

This pale lager pours a light gold color from a 12oz can. Medium sized white foamy head. Aroma is fruity, touch of cereal. Medium bodied Pale Lager. Malts are fruity and sweet. Hops are slightly spicy. Nice balance. Good carbonation. Other than that it’s a typical Pale Lager. No off flavors. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and crisp. Aftertaste is slightly sweet. Thanks to Dan for hauling this stuff all the way across the Pacific.

Can. Poured in a tulip glass. Golden with a medium white short lasting head. The aroma has bitter hop with a little sweetness. The flavour has a mild hoppiness and maltiness with and a soft sweetness and some grass. Mild bitter finish. Quiite refreshing. Arigatou Tori!

I chose this can from among the other macro cans at the conbini because it said "the hop" on it. I wasn’t really disappointed to find that it was a pale lager like all the others; but then again, I suppose my expectations weren’t particularly high to begin with. Hitachino Nest remains the only Japanese beer I’ve had worth having again. I’ll keep on tasting though.

Well, it looks like any other beer in a can in Japan. I think they used a hop when making this beer, it nearly tastes hoppy. Not good. :-(.

A medium gold color, smallish eggshell white head. Slight flowery hop scent, sweet malts, grass. Rather sweet, thin, boring but non-offensive as are many of its brethren on the macro shelf. DarkMagus summed it up nicely "Drinkable, but nothing to get excited about".

Clear golden-yellow color, loads of carbonation. Moderate white head. Aroma was a bit sweet and slightly metallic. Flavors were on the bitter side, but not truly "hoppy". Some maltiness in the background. Pretty light and thin. Not entirely unpleasant, but certainly not too great. Drinkable, but nothing to get excited about.

Pours a crystal clear gold with a medium, fizzy, white head. Aroma is floral, and sweet malt. Mouth is a bit thin, and carbonated. Flavor is metal, and hay hops. Has a dry hop finish. More hops than any other macro I’ve had, but I’m dissapointed with the overall flavor.
