Aroma: Straight-forward malts with some wet hay and grass, slightly citrus hops.
Palate: Medium body and fairly soft carbonation, smooth like a Pils.
Flav.: Light cereal and malt, light Saaz hops – kinda grassy and peppery; dry with some bitterness, nice light malt finish.
A very drinkable lager. Theis (3791), Denmark

| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 5/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | May 20, 2008 Quite typical of Japanese lager beers. Yebisu is the premium Sapporo brand and "The Hop" is a new product. However I can’t really get the hops in it. There is not stand out hop aroma on the nose and the palate while clean and refreshing is pretty similar to most Japanese beers. this beer uses Saaz hops according to the website, I guess they are going for a Bohemian style lager. motelpogo (4399), Plzen, Czech Republic
