Bottle 330 ml, Appearance: deep gold with light thin top that vanquished quickly. Rather poor appearance. 2- Aroma: plain grainy aroma with slight sour-alcoholic edge. 4- Flavour/Palate: medium bodied, fair malted chanter with hint of bitter rawness. Finish – hops much more notable with positive effect on this rather dull lager. Good ingredient is not all, only start.

Bottle. Clear yellow, slight head. Steely slightly vegetably hop aroma. Light body with fluffy carbonation. Light pleasant malt with reasonable steely hop bitterness. Overall refreshing and drinkable.

Smells a bit strongly of malt. A quickly gone but good-looking head. This is pretty good. Some malts up front. Dryness and hops in the finish. An easy-drinking light brew.

Bottled 334ml. It pours a golden beer with a decent white head. Pleasant nose with hints of cereals, melon and tobacco. Slightly metallic. Grainy taste. Medium bodied. Slight bitterness. Malty. Melon and tobacco showing up again. Metallic. Dry finish. The alcohol is a little too present. (this beer reminds me a bit of a malt liquor).

Bottle from BevMo, La Mesa. This had better be good, considering it’s price. Light straw in color. Slightly sweet grainy aroma. Grainy flavors with a bit of malt. Some spiciness. Good for a pale lager, but still far too expensive.

19-Mar-08 (334-ml bottle: Purchased 17-Mar-07 for $2.99 at Holiday Wine Cellar in Escondido, CA) Pale golden in color with gorgeous clarity and a fluffy, semi-rocky, white head that builds to almost half an inch before settling to a thin layer. Aromas are very grainy, sweet, somewhat corny and very lightly hoppy. For an all-malt beer, this is smelling perilously close to a macro. On the palate, this light-bodied beer doesn’t really distinguish itself much from macros either. Mildly sweet, grainy malts lack the character of better pilsener-style lagers, and at best, hops add a touch of flavor and bitterness. Carbonation is medium to high, the bubbles are large and rough on the palate, and the combination leads to a rather bloating feeling in the stomach. If the label didn’t say this is an all-malt beer, I’d tend to think it was a slightly better version of an adjuncty pale lager.
