Butter in mouth. Bit hard, like quite a few of the beers here. Like hard butterscotch sweets. Diacetyl just kills it. Grassy hop finish. sm89walt (456), Canterbury, Kent, England

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 7, 2008 Cask in Blackfriars. Aroma is Pale and sweeter malts, grassy peppery hop. Taste is similar, the house yeast is key here and i just realed with this beer what it is, a slightly roasty burnt character it adds to the beer, which is fine with the dark ruby however distorts the lighter beers a bit. Dry, hoppy, a good solid bitter. Got a bit thick on the palate after a few. (I know this as I chose this one to fill up my carry keg with :) haddonsman (1234), Derby, Derbyshire, England
