| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Mar 29, 2005 Sampled on tap at the Beacon Hotel, Sedgley. This appeared less brown, but more like another orangey/amber beer, with a creamy lacing. Unspecified aroma. Rich silky Bitter - very dry but not offensive. Some syrup and pepper, pineapple and then hard malt to finish. Very balanced and addictive - and enjoyed in the splendid surroundings of this well maintained, period pub. Darkish brown colour.
Fruity, malty, a bit thick & acidic though. Very powerful flavours, a bit much for me. Spiesy (2333), Global Citizen, Greater London, England

Clear golden colour, certainly the best condition and clarity of festival thus far. Slight fine head, desperately clinging to the side of the glass. Jammy marmalade aroma that is distinctive and interesting. Medium bitterness, clean and well balanced flavour. Doesn’t feel like 5% ABV at all. Quite and interesting drop. A decent well balanced but largely unremarkable bitter. Some vanilla in the nose. imdownthepub (5171), Banbury, Oxfordshire, England
