Burnt candy sugar, plenty of rich malt, slight creamy alcohol and plenty of berry fruits. Very slight plastic notes but it’s no spoiler. Rich and warming malt and alcohol finish. Good length. Feb 2009 Dover Beer Fest. I found this rather sugary sweet at the festival and scored it 3.5 I bottled some and brought it home where I find it soft and smooth with a hint of alcohol warmth on the swallow. There is some cereal sweetness, but not over-bearing or unpleasant. Nice. [3.5]
