| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Nov 5, 2009 The aroma is quite citrusy and yeasty with plenty of malt. The appearance is light amber with a large foamy head. The flavor is like the aroma with a bitter finish that lingers. The palate is right for the style. Overall this is a drinkable beer in every respect but nothing outstanding.

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Dec 14, 2009 A pretty hoppy brew from Saranac. Tastes like it’s been aggressively hopped, fairly bitter, nice amount of malts to even out the flavor, medium body. Great to stay warm on a bitter upstate NY night. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 7, 2009 This is a nice, solid, pale ale. Hard to the nose with the hop/malt combo the distinct flavorful cirtus intrusion settles nicely within reason. This is a solid pale ale. dkachur (2399), Charlottesville, Virginia, USA

| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Nov 29, 2009 One of Saranac’s best new beers in a long time. Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a dark caramel-amber color with a large yellow-white head. The aroma was sweet grapefruit, pine and pineapple. The flavor was sweetish, tart and bitter with notes of pineapple, grapefruit and a hint of caramel. The finish was long, sweet and had a fruit cocktail element. Medium body. Very nice. wilkie (1191), Raleigh, North Carolina, USA

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Nov 25, 2009 !2 oz bottle from a gift box. Not sure why this isn’t rated any better. Very nice pour and color. Head was creamy thick. Smells of graprfuit, pine, and sweet malt. The taste is piney, then fades to a sugary grapefruit, and goes to a spruce-like finish. Greatly balanced. Just as good as any IPA. Nice drinkability, and nice warmth.
