Bottle. Amber/brown, decent brownish head. Roasted malt aroma with vegetable notes. Malty flavor, fruity notes,a bit sourish, roasted and with some vegetables. Bitter finish.

Jun 24, 2008 Pours a dark brownish black into the glass with a nice tan head. Aroma is sticky and sweet with some burnt chocolate notes to it. The flavor is rich but still refreshing with plenty of malty goodness. I really really liked this beer

Jun 22, 2008 Pours a deep hazy black color with a minimal tan colored head. Aroma is of chocolate while the flavor brings out some roasted notes. Medium mouthfeel with very little to the finish. A drinkable beer, but nothing exciting.

Jun 19, 2008 12 oz. bottle from a Saranac ’Trail Mix’ six pack. Pours a dark brown color with a slight tan head. Aroma is dark roasted malts; taste is lightly sweet and has a bit of a caramel malt finish. Good beer, would drink again.
