Dec 28, 2009 Solid color for this IPA which could pass for a pale ale somewhere over the rainbow, from a 12er sampler picked up at Ralphs Beer Shack, but not enought bang for the buck. The bitterness seemed to tease the hop infusion too much and the malts fell down like dominoes on a day in Chicago. But it was a nice thing to sip on.

Dec 28, 2009 Very very similar in appearance to the PA. But unfortunately not a lot better in every other respect. Some lean rhubarb and minerals on the nose. palate is bland for the style but some varietal character and rusty malts and a medium strength hoppy finish. Just ok.

Dec 22, 2009 A clear amber colored beer, with a thick foamy beige head. The aroma is hoppy with sweet. A little caramel and fruits like citrus. The taste is fruity with bitter and hints of sweet. The aftertaste is sweet moving over to bitter.

Dec 17, 2009 Bottle from Saranac Trail Mix variety 6-pack. Pours a clear copper amber color with a ton of lacing along the glass. Piney hop aroma and flavor with a decent amount of malt in the backbone. Nice amount of bitterness in the finish but the aftertaste is a bit short lived. Overall, not a bad IPA.

Dec 4, 2009 Bottle at work - christmas party. Clear brown - white head. Chocolate, ryebread, dark malts, high malty, nice bitterness, toasted, roasted, bisquit, resin, grassy, needs some flowery hops....

Nov 30, 2009 This IPA poured a clear golden colour with a pretty good, bright white head. Scents include spruce, floral hopps and citrus. Smells like a hoppy one. First swig is smooth and has a mellow hopp bite to it. Very nice. I’m suprized this one isn’t rated higher. Flavours of lemon citrus, juniper and honey are at the forefront. Slight hoppy bitterness until the end.

Nov 28, 2009 Bottle 0,33ltr: Clear golden IPA, but this not so intensive bitter as its English-counterparts, but nevertheless an great New York State IPA.
