| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Dec 1, 2009 12 oz bottle (Thanks to Pam once again). You know, I was really expecting to hate this beer before I tried it, but even though I had such low expectations, it really turned out to be not too bad and definitely not offensive. There’s nothing too crazy here, but every aspect of the beer was decently pleasant. To me, the aroma is definitely the strongest part as the spicy nutmeg and ginger spices combine well with the light pumpkin fruit, cookie malts, and the hay-like hops to enhance the flavors. Pour was nothing special with a light layer of standard white head, some retention, medium-light appearing body, and golden dark orange in color. The body was light overall, not watery, and maybe too sided toward the sharp carbonated side of things. The flavor profile overall was quite similar to the aroma except that the notes muddle together a lot more. So overall, not great, not bad, but definitely somewhere in between. harrisoni (6830), Ashford, Kent, England
| 1.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 3/10 | 3/5 | 4/20 | Nov 29, 2009 Bottle at The Rake, Borough. Chestnut colour. Lovely colour in fact. Stale pasteurised aroma, some tomato sauce on aroma, some after shave spice. Oh god, this is poor. Mulled beer. Poor. chriso (4796), London, Greater London, England
