Faible carbonisation. Arrière goût d’huile de noisette. (Rating #110)

Dark orange with off-white head with nice lacing. Very good floral hoppy and malty aroma. I also note the nuttiness. Nice flavor and palate though a little thin. Clean finish. Very nice product.

I will declare this a good seasonal, it might not have the spiciness of a grand cru or the weight of a barleywine or imperial stout but it does strike me as the perfect beer for a winter in the mountains.

Bottle: Clear dark orange with a small off-white head. Light malts in the aroma, starts and ends lightly bitter, odd grainy taste, medium bodied.

[12 oz. bottle] Part of the 12 beers of Christmas pack. Medium brownish in color with not much of a head. Slightly sweet aroma of roasted malt and a touch of hops. The flavor is mainly the same... slightly sweet with a nice touch of malt in the middle and a slightly nutty finish. Would have thought this would’ve been a brown ale rather than a dark lager.

Clear brown mahogany with an off white head. Aroma of lightly roasted malt, caramel and a touch of floral hops. Taste has notes of caramel, nuts and lightly roasted malt. Moderately sweet with a slightly roasty, bitter finish. Medium body with medium carbonation. Some lacing, not much head retention. Solid.
