On tap at the brewery. Dark brown almost opaque black with creamy (nitro?) beige head. Smokey, roast, dry. Sweet, chocolate, light roast, fruity, english style. Watery, light. Very much an English style stout but uninteresting overall.

Draft at brewpub. Poured dark brown color with an average frothy light brown head that was mostly lasting with fair lacing. Moderate roasted coffee and small chocolate aroma. Medium body and dry smooth texture. Medium sweet flavor with a medium roasted sweet finish of moderate duration.

On nitro at the brewpub. Nice black color with lasting head. Not much aroma for a stout, some soft chocolate. Medium bodied, with notes of chocolate and roasted malts. Lacking in any bold flavors.

Very much a Guiness-type clone with some minimal roasted malt, a touch of chocolate/cocoa, and hints of earthy bitterness leading to a fairly dry beginning, middle, and finish.

Nitro Pour. Looks the part, inky black, foamy nitro brown head. Nose is fairly simple, some roast here and there and not much else. Taste is pretty dry upfront and throughout as well. Minimal roastiness, some coccoa powder. Very very bland, even for the style. Oh well.
