Caramel and toffee flavors upfront, decent earthy hop boit in the finish...pretty well balanced. The malts lend a biscuity note, the hops have touches of earth and herbs. shigadeyo (2263), Harrison, Ohio, USA

5/18/2007: Honey-colored with a very, very slight haze. There is a frothy and foamy off-white head. The aroma is butterscotch, and a hint of caramel malts. The flavor has creamy malts with a nice butterscotch characteristic. The bitterness in the finish is mild to moderate. This beer gets a bit more bitter as i goes along. The buttery malt also gives way to more caramel/toffee malt flavors. Medium body; creamy and smooth mouthfeel. A very enjoyable bitter.
