Commercial Description:
An English Blonde with only the best British malts and hops. The late addition of whole leaf East Kent Goldings adds a classic and traditional smooth hop aroma. During fermentation our special strain of yeast from Northeast England contributes light fruity esters. A great British session beer!

During a visit to Savannah, received a pint in a restaurant. The server described it as bitter but the initial odor appeared to be more of a pungent smell. The appearance was very light, but it had a very strong taste. Unfortunately, the strong taste was of wood. The finish was overpowering and required a glass of water to remove it. I would not recommend this beer.

(draught) pale gold with small white head. Yeast aroma. Flavor is yeast and cloves. Tastes more like a Belgian ale than an English ale.

Not what I was expecting. For a traditionally brewed Golden/Blonde Ale, I would have expected a cloudier appearance. Still, this is no lager. The hop notes, the awesome lacing of the head and the smoth drinkability are great. I’d quaff another pint.

Bottle conditioned. Pours a hazy pale amber with a quickly dissipating white head. Citrus and bread in the nose. Light to medium body. Sweetness and fruit in the taste eventually give way to a little hop bitterness at the end.

Poured from the tap almost to the top of the shaker glass. Deep hazy golden hue. Slight caramel aroma along with breadish malts. Orange and peach hops or esters, cant really tell which. Lightly doughy yeast profile. Begins moderately sweet with a light spicy acidity and light bitterness. Ripe fruits are apparent in the lightly sweet finish. Lightly spicy acidity again. Medium body, smooth texture, lively carbonation. Refreshing.

On cask at 2006 Atlanta Cask Ale Fest Hazy yellow color with a typical cask feel and look to it. Aroma of butter toffee (but not diacetyl butter) and light fruity malt. Light malty flavor with cereal and caramel. Fruity on the finish. Not my style but not flawed that I can tell.

On cask at the Atlanta Cask Ale tasting. Golden straw pour with minimal head. Very light aroma, not unlike a pale lager. Some bitter hints. Light malty grain mixed with spicy hops that are more than you expect from the aroma. While I did not care for the overall flavor, the dryish hoppy finish was enjoyable and let me increase my rating score. Watery body with dryish finish. Nothing fancy, nothing great.
