| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Dec 13, 2009 Can. Light gold with a slight haziness. Nose of malt and boiled rice. Fairly refreshing palate but lacks something in the middle. Flavour leans a little heavily towards the sweet end of the scale. Minor wet gravel and cardboard. Lifeless quasi-bitter finish. blankboy (3212), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Dec 4, 2009 Can [500ml]. Pours a slightly odd-looking, slightly hazy, pale gold with a small diminishing frothy white head. Maybe some light green hues to it as well, I don’t know, it looks a bit weird. Mild aroma is lightly sugary sweet along with vegetal notes, very light grassy hops, some mild skunkyness and corn -- it’s far from great. Flavour is slightly better, but only slightly: Watery with light grassy hops, grain, light sugary sweetness, malt and some light fruit. Light to average bodied. Yeah, I did not care for this, it’s not overly offensive or anything but it’s very dull and not worth drinking in my opinion. Beer Snob (382), Ontario, Canada
| 1.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 6/20 | Nov 13, 2009 A grassy and skunky aroma and an initial taste of grains that quickly leaves behind an overly sweet flavour.
With each succeeding sip, this became less and less appealing, leaving me with the feeling that if this is what organics taste like, maybe it’s time to rethink the green approach. Spab (292), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Oct 4, 2009 500 ml can from LCBO. Pours a clear light yellow gold with moderate white head. Grass/straw aroma, light hopiness. Flavour is light and refreshing with light grainy malts and grassy hoppiness. Light-mid body, decent crisp finish. Not a bad lager. | 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Oct 1, 2009 Smooth, toasty. Slightly astringent finish. Certainly a stepup from the monstrosity the original is. robinvboyer (1430), Sturgeon Falls, Ontario, Canada
| 1.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/20 | Sep 26, 2009 grassy, wet hay aroma. Sme hops, but they are a little mute. Flavor is very grainy, and grassy. Meh, i wasnt too thrilled with this, its a gimmick, its the same as the regular boris. Eructoblaster (1497), Gatineau, Quebec, Canada
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Sep 25, 2009 Can - 500ml. Pale blond body with heavy carbonation and a huge white foamy head. Fair malty/hoppy aroma with grassy and flowery hints. Taste is well balanced but it lacks complexity. It ends with a short bitter/herbal finish. This decent lager is a lot better than any other Boris beer I have tasted before.
