What an enormous disappointment! Nose of almost nothing, a touch of floral hops, a touch of ... well ... nothing. Crisp pale gold ... good looking lager, maybe? Taste of nothing. Remember, this is a kasteel and a cru and I was almost expecting a big Belgian slam of malts and yeast. Nothing but lager and grass and vegetables. Thin in the mouth. No finish. I did not finish it.

I overpaid for this beer. I admit, I got tricked by the fancy packaging. It certainly looks like champagne, large, quick rising bubbles. smells grassy, grainy and yeast. I expected a bit more funk, judging by the arouma. The taste is actually not bad. Light and smooth. Not very flavorful either, but nice and refreshing at least.

bottle: strange glass: I thought this was a great variation on the typical lager. The chapagne yeasts make for a soft, yet highly carbonated, small bubbled brew. Very crisp, very light, surprisingly refreshing.

Crisp, clean, thin with a grassy-lemon flavour. Softer carbonation than expected and not as sweet (thankfully). An improvement on your average yellow lager, but not enough to warrant the price.

Typical of many Alsatian offerings, this beer looks and tastes thin. It would be a decent accompaniment to any light meal...salads, omelettes, cheese and fruit platters. Got it as a gift, but would not go ouit of my way to purchase.

Extremely pale yellow with a thin lace. Sweet and fruity aroma. Very weak, thin body. blah.
