Commercial Description:
Sawyer’s Triple is based upon the traditional "Golden Triple" style of strong ale, hailing from Belgium, and weighs in at 7.6% alc/vol. The brew is deep golden in color with a distinctive spicy, sweet and hoppy nose. Effervescent carbonation leads to a modestly dry malt character with hoppy flavors and alcohol overtones. Sawyer’s Triple was formulated and brewed by Bill Sherwood.

Thanks to SDbruboy and DaSilky1! Pours a clouded amber with splashes of orange. Small off-white head. Nose is spice, some earthiness, along with hints of yeast and vanilla. Taste has candy sugar, more vanilla and earth tones, and some alcohol notes. Carbonated bodt with some sharpness to it. Finishes very well with little aftertaste - perhaps some lingering spice. Well done! ***Not a re-rate, but I wanted to add, as this warms, more fruit notes come through with maybe peach or nectarine and more of the spice comes through. NICE BEER!

Exultant pineapples, pink grapefruit and bananas bathing in meady alcohol...Obeying to the fruity onslaught are the sagacious spices, swirling carefully in the thin and a bit undercarbonated body (for a triple) of still great malt cookies...Run of the mill Belgian stuff (meaning very good)...

Clear yellow-amber. Small white head. Yeasty, fruity (banana, peach) aroma w/ some citrus & cream notes. Soft, creamy feel. Yeasty, fruity flavour (peach, banana) w/ some complex spiciness. Some lemony acidity in the finish.

This belgian pours with a golden orange body topped by a thin to medium thick white head with some lacing left behind. The aroma just flows to the nose as soon as the beer is poured. The aroam is sweet and malty with citrusy notes, a touch of spice and a slight yeastiness. The flavor is slightly sweet, citrusy and malty with a slight spiciness and a very slight touch of yeast. A very tastey brew. Medium to full bodied, tingly from the carbonation yet smooth and slightly warming.

Golden/amber color, small white head. Aroma was citrusy, spicy and malty. Subtly sweet, orangy and spicy flavor. Soft and smooth, but full. Very nice. Thanks a bunch Kimchee.
