Commercial Description:
Sawyer’s Triple is based upon the traditional "Golden Triple" style of strong ale, hailing from Belgium, and weighs in at 7.6% alc/vol. The brew is deep golden in color with a distinctive spicy, sweet and hoppy nose. Effervescent carbonation leads to a modestly dry malt character with hoppy flavors and alcohol overtones. Sawyer’s Triple was formulated and brewed by Bill Sherwood.

Interesting tripel. Definitely has a strong banana flavor that is slightly sweet but not overpowering. Slightly spicy too. Good stuff and a rare find too!

22 ounce bottle from JohnnyJ. Pours very hazy peach nectar orange with no head. The aroma is loaded with citrus type aromas with a bit of a sweet candy sugar note. The flavor is big with banana and a bit of herbal/spicy hoppy notes. Medium body with decent carbonation. Dry malty finish. Not bad at all.

22oz Bomber-Secret Santa-clear golden color w/a small, quickly diminishing head & good lacing. Light sweet aroma. Flavors of yeast, banana, candied sugar, spice, & a touch of floral hops. Maybe a little bit of citrus or orange peel. Solid brew, enjoyable, kind of a "standard" Belgian, maybe a little bit of a letdown as some of these Stone brews get such a buildup-particularly in this area where they can be hard to get-that, fair or not, you expect them all to be spectacular or overwhelming. I’d like to try this on tap or maybe w/a few years on it to compare the differences. Long, sweet, dry finish.

22 oz bottle. Clear pale orange with white frosting. Nose is banana, bubblegum, yeast and orange; very sweet. Tangy medium light, a little oily in the back. Taste is green banana, lemon pith, candi and lime peel. Bitter yeasty finish with black pepper.

Bottle pours clear dark golden color with white head. Aromas are typical yeast, floral, belgian, and spice. Medium mouthfeel. Flavor is heavy on the yeast, clove, white pepper, orange peel, banana, and finishes dry. Overall a solid brew.

Bottle: Clear gold color. Classic Belgian - tons of yeast and way too banana-ee for my palate. It’s probably a good representation of the style, but not my cup of tea. Wait? Ummm.

Bottle, courtesy markwise. Clear yellowish bronze pour, thick lacing and smooth soft white head. Funky nose, some spicy notes, honey. Flavor has a dry yeasty slight funk, with some orange peel and spicy elements. Smooth and drinkable, kind of a saisony-tripel thing.
