Commercial Description:
Sawyer’s Triple is based upon the traditional "Golden Triple" style of strong ale, hailing from Belgium, and weighs in at 7.6% alc/vol. The brew is deep golden in color with a distinctive spicy, sweet and hoppy nose. Effervescent carbonation leads to a modestly dry malt character with hoppy flavors and alcohol overtones. Sawyer’s Triple was formulated and brewed by Bill Sherwood.

22oz bottle. Dark golden in color. Sweet yeast aroma, typical triple, at least for me. Sweet, banana flavor, similar to the aroma as well. Not a fav style, but good though.

Bottle from wolf, shared at stateline. Thanks brother. Clear yellow in color decent head. Good aroma of sweet candy sugar, banana and yeast. Taste is the same. Lots of banana, yeast and sweetness. Yet, still well balanced. Overall a solid beer

Pours a golden orange color with a cream head. Smells of yeast and citrus. It is a sweet beer and drinkable, a decent beer.

Bomber, purchased at the brewery. Slightly hazy orange-tinted gold. Spicy banana and yeast aroma. Slightly estery, moderately sweet palate with caramelized banana and spices as the dominant flavours. Sweet but drinkable, and faithful to the style. Another well-crafted Stone brew.

Bottle, thanks to alexanderj. Blond amber pour, clearish with a little white head. Aroma is banana, bubblegum, chalk, and some spices. Flavor is the same, bubblegum is dominant and somewhat chewy seeming. Pretty sweet beer.

Pours a copper caramel with cream-colored head. Pours a spicy caramel with brown sugar. A combination of banana and clove with bubble gum. Palate is creamy that lightens the levels of carbonation.

Thanks Walt for sending me this beer. Pours a hazy gold with an almost non existent head. Aroma of coriander, banana, and bubblegum. Sweet flavor, some fruit. A well done triple. I really like the bottle and everything this beer stands for though. I’m glad Stone is doing some for charity like this.

On draft at the 2008 Stone Winter Storm Appearance is a murky golden hue, thin off-white head dissipates quickly, minimal lacing Smell is dark fruits (raisins, cherries), honey, citrus, thick caramel malts, rather subtle for a Tripel Taste is big raisins up front, followed by brown sugar and molasses, some sweet honey, finishes sweet and slightly dry Mouthfeel is medium-full bodied, thick chewy texture, highly carbonated Drinkability is good, this is a pretty solid Tripel that loses some points on the weak aromas, but is otherwise decent, this has held up well over time (I think it was brewed in 2004?), definitely worth trying once, especially since proceeds go to charity
