| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jan 15, 2009 Thanks Walt for sending me this beer. Pours a hazy gold with an almost non existent head. Aroma of coriander, banana, and bubblegum. Sweet flavor, some fruit. A well done triple. I really like the bottle and everything this beer stands for though. I’m glad Stone is doing some for charity like this. BrotherGrendel (604), San Diego, California, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jan 11, 2009 On draft at the 2008 Stone Winter Storm
Appearance is a murky golden hue, thin off-white head dissipates quickly, minimal lacing
Smell is dark fruits (raisins, cherries), honey, citrus, thick caramel malts, rather subtle for a Tripel
Taste is big raisins up front, followed by brown sugar and molasses, some sweet honey, finishes sweet and slightly dry
Mouthfeel is medium-full bodied, thick chewy texture, highly carbonated
Drinkability is good, this is a pretty solid Tripel that loses some points on the weak aromas, but is otherwise decent, this has held up well over time (I think it was brewed in 2004?), definitely worth trying once, especially since proceeds go to charity
