Sep 20, 2000 As much as I love stouts and porters, ’Bocks’ are my favorite Spring Beers. This dark bock is hearty to say the least, hoppy, aromatic and a big malt nose. A bock lovers bock.

Aug 20, 2002 Really fine brew from Bridgeport. Nice creamy head, dark brown color, hearty malty sweetness, and a smoothe lingering finish. Very, very nice.

Oct 2, 2002 Deep red brown color, small head. A ‘dunkel’ bock. Pronounced roasted malts, slightly hoppy spiciness/sweetness. Even though it’s a 7.2% beer, there is not a lot of alcohol bite, lots of flavor. Finish is smooth. Aftertaste is malty and hoppy, very little bitterness.

Feb 5, 2003 Reddish brown color with a small beige head. Malty candy aroma. Has a sweet caramel malt taste. This is good stuff.

Jul 14, 2003 Nice dark brown color,small bubbly tan head that last a short time.malty sweet aroma with a faint hint of fruit and hops.The taste is sweet roasted malt with a slight caramel note and mild hop presence,and a pretty decent chocolate as well.The after taste was mostly malt and chocolate with a mild hop character at the tail end.Nice feel in the mouth not to thin but just right for the way i like it anyway.IMO this is a pretty decent bock and well worth having quite a few around and also very easy to drink considering the alcohol manages to stay nicely hidden and never really makes a dramatic appearance.
