Bottle that I picked up at Bierkoning (I think), Amsterdam, Netherlands, consumed 04-11-09 Pours hazy brown. There is a deep fruitiness, dark demerara sugars, spicy yeasty, in fact a most pleasant beer. I understand that it translates as ’Mad Meg’ and the picture on the label is seemingly a combination of the anti-hero of the Pieter Brueghal painting and the large cannon named after her that resides in the market square in Gent, Belgium. Nov 30, 2009 In a 330ml bottle from the Fat Cat in Norwich. Already had a few pints, and maybe a couple of belgian beers. So I was definately not sober, though I felt bowled over by this beer at the time and reviewed it, despite being with friends (something I try not to normally do, as it can slow the evening down somewhat). They all agreed that yeas it was an awesome beer.
Pitch Black with smooth white head. Smell red fruits and plums with some alcohol wading in. Taste much more with loads of fruit, loads of rich malt and a touch of bitter hops. Some carbonation. Awesome.

Nov 21, 2009 Bottle. A nice smell of roasted malt, some chocolate. The normal large head is light beige and creamy with a normal duration. The body is dark red. The taste is light malty and sour, the finish is rather sour. The texture is creamy, the body is light to medium with a soft carbonation.

Oct 25, 2009 Brown coloured beer with small white head and lots of carbonation. Cartonnage granny aroma bit yeasty. Full bit sparkling palate. Finish is hoppy ending bitter and bit dry.

Pours a nice clear brown colour with a good size head and good carbonation.
Aroma is a very pleasant scent that goes all around the room, nice gentle balance of fruits and malts with some good bitterness there too.
Taste is up the same alley, nice and pleasant beer, great on a autumn night!

Aug 14, 2009 33cl bottle, brewed in Belgium. Decent dark beer with caramel, toffee and oomph but missing the passion or intricacy of a classically Belgian brown ale.

Aug 12, 2009 Bottle. Frothy off-white good mostly deminishing head. Amber colour. Moderate malty and hoppy aroma. Fruity notes. Moderate bitter nice fruity flavor. Average finish. Oily palate. Very nice beer.
