beerbuzzmontreal (2700), Montreal, Quebec, Canada Apr 16, 2008 Cloudy golden pour with a thin white head. Good aroma of honey and yeast. Good flavor of honey and yeast. The body is medium with a creamy texture and soft carbonation. It’s very straight forward and simple, but pleasant to drink.
AtlAggie (17), Atlanta, Georgia, USA Aug 25, 2008 33cl bottle. Pours hazy golden color with hints of orange, smallish white head. Nose of yeast and malts with touch of citrus. Flavor follows the aroma, lots of yeast, malty sweetness, but not over the top. Balanced out by light hops and some citrus and honey notes. Found it to be really well balanced and very drinkable. Nice beer. Lubiere (3231), Ottawa, Ontario, Canada Aug 19, 2008 A hazy gold ale with a nice lacing thick off white head. A nice aroma of coriander, curacao, and light caramel, In mouth, a sweet caramel malt with notes of pineapples, light blood oranges, subtle hops. Medium bodied. On tap at El Flabiol, 3.70 Euros. Hops are a bit dulled in this older example of the beer,
all round nice beer, with dry finish to keep you coming back for another. (Rating #1861) JorisPPattyn (4275), Antwerpen, Belgium Jul 27, 2008 Huge, dense & creamy, cream-coloured head over fully hazy orange beer. Caramel, alcohol and English toffees; later grass and parsley aromas. Sweet, with a discreet, quite spicy background bitterness. Roast spices, citrus touch, very outspoken maltunderbuild. Very good blending of flavours. Very creamy texture, yeast determined; medium to well-bodied, light alcoholwarming. Excellent, accomplished beer. I can understand the distress of our Dutch tasters in having one of the best Dutch micros moving to Belgium. It’s the quadrature of the circle succeeded!
