SilkTork (3853), Rochester, Kent, England Aug 3, 2008 Kent Beer Fest, The Cow Shed, Canterbury. Bottle. Blackcurrant / Ribena aroma. Gentle, pleasant fizz. Mild, attractive, refreshing taste. Good balance of sweet and sharp. Very nice. harrisoni (5106), Ashford, Kent, England Jul 26, 2008 Bottle at Kent BF 08. Very very blackcurranty, kiddie sweets sweet. Bit like cough syrup. Bit chalky and thinnish in the mouth, too sweet. It’s just that artificail quality to it that I don’t like. Ugh. CapedBrewsader (181), Brasschaat, Belgium Jul 14, 2008 33cl. bottle at home: Hazy rusty orange with definite lavender tinge. Diminishing white head also has a lavender hue. Tons of fresh blackcurrants with some tart blueberries. Tart on the end. Slight citrus and just a hint of herbal green. Quite simple or one dimensional aroma. Refreshing in the mouth. Good blackcurrant flavor, perhaps a touch strong, but thankfully not overly sweet. Some tea leaves come in after the fruit has lingered for a second. Finishes somewhat dry (could be drier) with a solid fruit tartness that balances the fruit sweetness that is there. Maybe not my favorite type of beer but not bad. yespr (6162), Copenhagen O, Denmark Jun 12, 2008 33 cL bottle from Cerveceria El Flabiol. Pours hazy orange with a collapsing white head. Blueberry fruity aroma, quite distinct. Slight sweet initial flavout soon going into a more dry berry fruity flavour with a dry malt base. Dry blueberry finish. Dry blueberry fruit beer, clean.
