doubelknv3 (559), Illinois, USA Sep 4, 2009 Reddish brown with off-white head. Light roasted and caramel aromas. Malt roast, caramel, and mild alcohol (whiskey-like) flavours. Watery, with mild bitter finish. drowland (1360), Tallahassee, Florida, USA Aug 4, 2009 Sampled at a beer tasting at a Hy Vee Wine & Spirits. Considering it’s Schell, this really wasn’t too bad and almost on style. shawn92 (5), Plymouth, USA does not count Jun 28, 2009 One of my favorite beers of the spring season, especially on tap. Very malty beer with hints of chocolate and roasted nuts. Absolutely delicious. Narnad (681), Wonder Lake, Illinois, USA May 12, 2009 Pours a brown color with thin, white film head. Aroma is a mix of caramel, very light citrus, some light notes of chocolate and heavier roasted malts and a light grainy hint as well. Flavor starts a slightly smokey chocolate, moves into caramel middle and ends with a very sweet malty note with some like bitterness. Carbonation is very fine and the beer is a moderate density. Overall a good offering that is very drinkable. jbuzz (658), South Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA May 4, 2009 Light brown, nice nutty malt taste smooth very rich and easy drinking. One of the better Schells. jfenglish (198), Chicago, Illinois, USA Apr 19, 2009 Peoria Beerfest 2009. Sample pour. Light brown in color, faint head. Nice nutty flavor with some sweetness- very balanced. Nothing too complex here, but very nice flavor. esjaygee (1467), Oak Creek, Wisconsin, USA Mar 28, 2009 Clear copper with a creamy quickly dissolving tan topper. Aroma of toasted grain, pale malts and caramel. Taste of toasted English malts, toffee, caramel and a touch of alcohol. Goes down very easy and finishes up a bit dry. rabba9 (61), Chaska, Minnesota, USA Mar 26, 2009 Aroma is nutty and caramel malt. Color is dark brown and amber. Tastes of malts and a slight earthy tone. Mouthfeel is smooth and goes down easily. I really enjoy this style, sweet yet very smooth.
