The nose is of slightly burnt caramel malt, light peat, and perhaps a touch of toffee. Fairly light-bodied with fine, tongue scrubbing carbonation and a lightly dry and astringent finish. The flavor is a dark, roasted caramel malt front with a burnt, peaty note and just a touch of hops at the woody, astringent finish. dpjuart (670), Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Dec 30, 2007 12 oz bottle. Pours dark amber with brown hues. Small, off-white head that disapates quickly. Sweet nose, caramel, toffee, and a touch of roast. Taste is much the same, caramel and toffee backbone with a touch of roasted malt. No real hop bitterness. Crisp finish, no real after. I just got the mix case at the local distributor, and it had the ’06 Snowstorm in it, so I have no clue whether or not this is new or a year old. Either way it is a decent brew, nothing special, but tasty nonetheless. franksnbeans (265), Columbus, Maryland, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 23, 2007 Pours a clear copper with a small amount of white head that dies quick. Smells of toasted grain malt and a little toffee. Tastes the same. Light in the mouth with a lot of carbonation. Drink it all day if you like it but Id rather find a different beer to session.

| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Dec 17, 2007 Pours a dark almost brick red with a noisy frothing head. Yes noisy....snap, crackle and pop. Nice sour-mash and malt nose. Full body gulps deliver a hardy malt flavor but if you sip it you can find a lot of little particulars. Rich caramel, malt, tanginess maybe a little metallic and some light fruit undertones. Probiere (992), Iowa, USA

It’s a little too sweet and simple, reminding me more of an Ofest than a bock. Strong caramel and toffee taste, and weak notes of tea and hay. Too thin on the mouthfeel and overall simplistic, but very drinkable. LinusStick (1856), Moon Twp, suburb of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Dec 9, 2007 A very nice dunkler bock. Aroma was so so. Could smell dark malt with a hint of caramel. Pour was a beautiful dark brown with a 2 finger tan head which left quickly. Taste was very drinkable. Strong iced tea flavor with some dark malt and not much else. Nicely carbonated and delicious. | 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 14/20 | Oct 18, 2007 Pours out a nice dark brown color with a light tan head. Light sweet aroma. Upon tasting the Caramel/malt flavor is in there, but a little watery and under powered. The nice rich color fools the palate thinking there should be more flavor. A small sips flavor stays fairly consistent from beginning to end. My 12 oz. serving left very little lacing behind as well as my high expectations for this beer. An average Bock.
