Commercial Description:
Since 1860, Schell’s Bock meant spring was around the corner. And until recently, tradition and climate dictated the seasonality of Bock beers. Today, with the ability to control strict brewing environments, we’re able to usher in a new tradition—August Schell Caramel Bock, available year-round.
This medium-bodied, dark copper beer sports a light caramel flavor with a hint of malt sweetness. We figured beer drinkers aren’t seasonal, so why should beer be?

Poured a brown/ruby color with a small off-white head that disappeared pretty quickly. Aroma is light, but of caramel malt. Flavor is of caramel malt and toffee. Mouthfeel is good as carbonation is soft. Pretty easy drinker this one. I would have again, but wouldnt go out of my way to seek out.

Aroma is a mild caramel scent. Color is a crisp brown with very low carbonation and a fair head. Taste caramel and malt. Starting with a medium body it goes down very smooth with a sweet taste coming in. Finish a sweet malt flavor backed by a faint hop flavor. Nice beer.

12oz bottle-A dark brown body with a small tan head with an aroma of caramel, toffee, and dark malts. Taste of caramel, toffee, coffee, and sweetness. Not a bad bock. Nice flavors.

Pour is a dark brown with a average tan head. Aroma is nothing to write home about, just some sweetness is all. Flavor is a little more decent. Some caramel malt with a touch of dark fruit. Still this is sub-par for a bock.

Bottle. Very dark pour and a thick head. A subtle, sweet aroma. The sweetness in the flavor is subtle too. Just a decent bock, a hell of a lot better than Huber not nearly as good as Anchor.

Dark red amber. Beige head. More cardboard than caramel in the aroma. Sugary flavoured body. A bit of burnt sugar. Not unpleasant though somewhat sweet. I would have guessed as a caramelized Amber.

Found this one bottled in Duluth, Minnesota. Clear, very dark brown oily pour with a thick, fluffly light brown head, mild camelly chocolate mocha nose, smooth kopi manis tastes, very sweet finish. This was very good.
