Dark amber color, small off white head.Light malt and caramel aroma, mildly sweet.Mildly malty taste with some caramel and some burnt flavors of some sort.Fairly thin and watery feel with little to offer in the way of flavor. In regards to the Description to the left if all you want is dark color and no flavor, food coloring and a Old Milwaukee Light will do the same effect and be cheaper too.

In a clear bottle ... it looked brown in the bottle, but up to the light in the glass it was shiny red. Medium poofy tan head. Sweet malty aroma. Likewise sugary-sweet malty flavors, almost raisiny. Just an OK offering.

I really cant tell the diffrence between this and the Carmel Bock. The dark isnt bad really, but isnt what you would expect, sliglty more coffee flavor then the Carmel, but still not quite what i was looking for. Dont knock Schell as a brewery, its a great place, and a great tour, and they really have a nice line up of brews!

Budweiser with burnt coffee added for flavour. As good as the winter-alt was Schells has turned the tables on this brew, bring back the ALT !!! It sold out of every liquor store.Alt yes, dark, drain pour.I CAN NOT UNDER STAND Y A BREWER WOULD STOP MAKING A TOP SELLING BEER.

On tap at Old Chicago. Thin head (although when poured into a large liter mug, they all seem to come that way). Deep red body. Caramel nose. Nothing overpowering. Watery and somewhat malty with little/ no hops to speak of. Okay but this one is not keeping me interested at all. Very average beer. Not as good as some of the others in the Schell lineup.

Pours a nice medium amber color. Nice roast aromas. Flavor has a roast almost burnt grain flavor to it.

A small bit of toasty, nutty character, but not much. Like three parts bland pale lager and one part bland American brown ale.

Brown color with average head. Very much what you would expect from a dark American beer. Not much to distinguish it in taste, although not offensive.
