Pours copper with a average size white frothy head, which shrinks away but leaves a nice white film throughout the whole glass, leaving little to no lacing. Looking through the glass the beer is clear of all particles with a few bubbles fizzing up. The aroma is grainy with a little caramel malts, no hop aroma. The flavor is slightly grainy with hints of caramel, there is a slight bitterness on the back of the tounge in the end. The body is light to medium with a dry/watery texture and lively carbonation. Overall a very easy drinker that goes down smooth. Headbanger (1601), Aurora, Illinois, USA

Amber in color with a nice thick head that stays around enough to provide a smoothness as it is sipped. A nice little zing to the flavor. Perhaps some hops sneaked in to give it a hint of a tart bite. This is primarily a malty beer with a nice roasted flavor. I like a sweet malty beer and this one pitches to my wheelhouse. thegreenrooster (1846), St.louis, Missouri, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 11, 2007 Pour is a dark brown with a tan head. Aroma is caramel malts with a little sugar and a doughy smell. Flavor is ok with some good roastyness and a touch of sweetness almost like honey. Not a bad little brew and i have had worse from this brewer. crizay (1050), Brook Park (was Tampa,FL), Ohio, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 11/20 | May 1, 2007 Pours darker amber, white head. 50/50 roasted and caramel malts, roasty and toasty with a sweet side to it and crisp hops in the finish. Nothing spectacular. vyvvy (2068), Hazelwood, Missouri, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Apr 22, 2007 From a sampler pack. Pours clear bronze with a dense khaki head. The aroma has caramel malt that is very toasted with light spice, very smooth overall. Medium heavy body with some frothy, yet lightly sharp carbonation. The taste starts with toasted malt, nuttiness and some spice. The downfall is in the finish that gives the beer a stale astringent taste. This is merely a fair beer that would have been much better without negative traits on the finish.
