Poured a thin off-whitish head on top of a bright reddish brown opaque body. The head quickly disapates and has trouble sticking to the glass. You can see the bubbles perpetuate through the body. Aroma is bready and floral and hoppy. Flavor is not bad, and only lingers on the palate for 10 seconds. Smooth, lightly roasted malts and a nice Saaz hop, there’s some sort of light fruit in the background. Very excellent tasting malty beer. The palate is very pleasing, soft, velvety, and non-lingering. Very "clean". A pretty tasty Vienna. Bigsky66 (148), Eau Claire, Wisconsin, USA

The aroma is malty and the flavor is sweet and malty. I could not detect any smoke or fire flavor as the label may lead you to believe. The body is thin and smooth. Not bad. | 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 1/5 | 9/20 | Feb 28, 2005 Well-balanced aroma with a malt base and flowery-hop backdrop, hinting of caramel. Nice red-orange color. Flavor and especially the body fall flat, however: a sour mix of malts with little else to speak of, in an extremely watery base. Trying to be tactful in stating that the finish has hints of underarm odor! Still quite drinkable in the sense that it’s easy to guzzle down so there’s only one instance of "finish" per bottle, and the beer buzz is pretty clean BBB63 (4267), La Porte, Indiana, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Feb 24, 2005 Bottle: Golden hue with a small fading head and no lace. The aroma has notes of vanilla, bready malts, toffee, aromatic german hops (Saaz anyone?), and apple peel. The taste has a smooth malty note with a light bitter and fruity finish. Not too complex but easy to drink. The feel has a soft velvety texture which added to the overall enjoyment. A solid brew and pure Vienna. steview (902), Los Angeles, California, USA

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Feb 15, 2005 Not bad but the malt tastes a tad stale-ish...? Maybe some oxidation going on there. Hops are nice, with good bitterness and a decent floral note in the aroma, but the malt doesn’t mesh with them, more’s the pity. A dull angry red color with slightly off-white head. I think this is from Grainbeltguzzler. Thanks! incutrav (576), Woodbury, Minnesota, USA
