Poured a smooth off-white head with fair lacing, semi-transparent, fast rising carbonation, and an orange brown hue. Malty and sweet aroma. Lightly bitter, malt and some caramel in the taste. Tingly and somewhat bitter mouthfeel. Medium bodied beer. Just so-so. Frank (1071), Chicago, Illinois, USA

Uh oh! But this is way better. Pours a nice, headless orage. Malty and a bit fruity and floral. A bit low on carbonation. Hardly top notch but good enough. Pleasant malitiness is not overpowering, keeps its flavor well balanced with the hops. Filling, with a slight sweet, almost fruity flavor. Pailhead (2609), Allen Park, Michigan, USA

Pours a transparent brownish-orange with a white head that is short lasting. Malty caramel and brown sugar taste with some slight bitterness, sourness, and acidity in the finish. Overall a decent beer. obisbeer (558), Barcelona, Spain

A little thin in mouthfeel, and definitely pretty light in flavor and aroma. The flavor that’s there is mostly sweet malt with very little hop. Nothing in comparison to how Capital excels with the style. geekin (9), North Dakota, USA does not count | 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Sep 4, 2004 Orange color, looked pretty nice. Taste was a little thin, bitterness is noted in the aftertaste. Not a bad beer to drink with friends. Part of a sampler pack. JoeM500 (1876), Chicago (little italy), Illinois, USA

So much thinner and lighter in flavor than examples from Lakefront & Capital. Nothing bad about the beer, it was light amber with hints of sweetness and some bitterness at the finish.
