Source: 12 oz bottle from a sampler purchased at Friar Tucks in Peoria.
Glass: Poured into a shaker.
Appearance: Poured a darkish amber color with a two finger tan head.
Aroma: Aroma is a hint of caramel malt and some earthy hops.
Flavor: Solid caramel malt base, but not much in the way of bitterness. .
Palate: Medium body with good carbonation and a clean mouthfeel.
Overall: Very drinkable brew. Would make a good session beer.

Feb 1, 2009 Pours amber with thin off white head.
Aroma is some light caramel, toast, a woody dried straw hoppiness that brings a funk to the aroma.
Flavour is medium toasted malt and a woody hop bitterness.

Jan 23, 2009 Bottle. Pours an average amber with a slightly active body and a nice head of cream brown. Aroma is malted garbage disposal and vegetable. Flavor is retarded red wine with vegetable throw-aways and dough. Average mouthfeel. Burn this brick.

Jan 19, 2009 Updated: Oct 24, 2009nice dark amber color, medium full bodied, smooth malt forward. I love the balance of this beer, heavy on toasted malts with enough hops to bring it all together.
my favorite Schell beer.

Dec 26, 2008 Pours a filtered amber color from the tap with a trim white head. Features flat hops, flour, and slight almond. Tasted watery and unbalanced to me.
