Finished dry, with a slight, lingering bitterness (bitter orange, grass, flowers). Malts were pleasant (toasted bread, light toffee). Some wheatiness, too. Overall, I thought it was pretty easy to drink. Not really deep, but nothing really off or distracting, either. The bottle I got at a grocery store in Custer, S.D., tasted pretty fresh. wxman (588), O’Fallon, Illinois, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 23, 2008 Pours a bright amber with a sizable off-white head. Aroma is non-existant, to me. Spicy fruity taste. Smooth and slightly hoppy with a caramely toasted malt flavor. Not really Vienna-like from my experience, but still quite good. Baumgartner (108), Eau Claire, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jun 14, 2008 Bottle poured to a pint glass. Poured very orangish color in bright lighting. Very mild grapefruity hop aroma. Overall not to bad. phishpond417 (1953), Madison, Wisconsin, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Jun 11, 2008 This brew pours a clear amber body with a thin head. Difficult to pick up any too many aromas, very cold draught pour. Has tastes of hint of spice, pears and a little bready. just a tiny bit. Well balanced and very pleasent. | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 30, 2008 An orangish amber appearance with a moderate white head. The aroma contains some caramel, citrus, and oats. The flavor is malty with some mild citrus, caramel, and a bready presence. Overall a pretty good session beer. KnN (746), Greenbelt, Maryland, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | May 25, 2008 Poured a nice amber color with a big short lasting head. Very very smooth with a lot of malt action going on. The hops are near non-exiastant, but just present enough to make you wonder about the backend of the beer. Could be a great session beer at a pub although at 5.1% the acohol is just a titch high to make it a perfect sessioner. whiterabbit81 (244), Tallahassee, Florida, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | May 24, 2008 Smells of sweet caramel malt. Pours a deep amber with a hint of red; purdy bubbly small head. Taste is wonderfully refreshing: malty, mildly sweet yet wonderfully roasty and balanced. Finishes fairly clean with a bit of hop bitterness and lingering creamy maltiness. I dig it a lot. | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | May 20, 2008 Dark copper, minimal fades to nothing fast. Bubbles rising, just no head retention. Toasted/roasted grain up front, hints of toffee. Flavor has a really nice toasted grain character, not overly sweet, but doesn’t sustain anything. I guess it’s an easy drink because there is nothing going on.
